Amity, a woman without much confidence in herself, misses her mother dearly but is not entirely alone. She has her uncle, Hamon. She is beautiful and just needs the right encouragement to help her come out of her shell.

Duncan, prince of Emerset, is not into magic. He thinks other things should be done for his Kingdom. Things like actual care, not wishful thinking. The main person standing in his way is his mother who is half Elf. He hopes he can make his mom understand.

Amity is frustrated with her uncle because he wants her to give a blessing for the Kingdom of Emerset and end their drought. She takes a walk in the forest and meets Duncan. She does not know that he is the prince. Duncan feels horrible about hitting Amity with his arrow. He wraps her wound so it will heal and Amity agrees to the blessing hoping to see Duncan again. But will it work out like she hopes or will she fail again?

Spellbound from the beginning, I could not put this story down. Amity is like everyone else out there with less than great self-esteem. Duncan is the key to helping her change. Their kisses leave them wanting more. Ms. Vedam is a wonderful writer whose writing I found enjoyable and easy to follow. I loved the whole fairy magic aspect and felt it was very believable. This is a wonderful story.
