Warren Hayes has been in love with his friend for years. His views on sex are a bit skewed due to having grown up in a brothel, so he is determined not to let physical desires cloud his feelings for Kade. After being away from Kade for a time, he discovers that absence really does make the heart grow fonder.

Warren and Kade are in love in a time when it is not okay for two men to love each other. Societal attitudes only make their love that much harder to express. Lack of communication does not help either. Can they overcome the issues that are keeping them apart?

What a wonderful story this is! Ms. Laws expresses the angst of an unrequited love very well. Those who enjoy same sex romance are sure to like this terrific book just as much as I do. If you enjoy male/male romance and old west romance, then this is most definitely the book for you!
