Ariel’s culture is one that has no male influence. Her mission is not one she is comfortable with, but she has no other alternative since telling her mother no is not an option. She is beautiful and hopes to complete her mission successfully and quickly.

Kieran is a man becoming fed up with his life. He sees no way out and he does not want to disappoint his brother. He is strong but full of scars around his heart from all the battles he has fought. He needs healing, but has not yet realized it.

Ariel comes to the surface, only to be found by a band of men. One of them steps up to keep her safe, even though she is unsure whether she can trust him. She needs to tell him the truth about who she is and of her life in Halycon. She only hopes Kieran will understand because she finds herself falling in love with him. But can she give up her life for him and he for her?

Ms. Bold is a talented author who writes passion with a heart. There is true love between Kieran and Ariel; not just the lust that they started out with in the beginning, although emotions have to start somewhere and Ariel feels safe with him right away. Passion soon overtakes them and Ariel must deal with her preconceived notions of intimacy. The romance is a beautiful one and I loved the way each had to learn what was important to them. These are two beautiful characters and I look forward to what Ms Bold creates next.
