Nikki lives in the year 2014, and a plague has taken out most of the population. One

with a few friends, trying to keep safe, when they come across a man on a motorcycle
who has had a wreck. His name is Bells, and Nikki cannot help but be attracted to him.
There is something different about him. Can they trust Bells to help them? Or are they
being set up?
Jason Whitter, aka Bells, is driving along on his motorcycle when he runs into a tree.
Waking up after the accident, he does not remember anything before hitting the tree. He
seems to trust the people he is around and finds a couple who are like him. It is Nikki
who really makes him wish he could be normal. He is going to try and help them,
keeping Nikki safe from the man who is after her. Can he keep her safe against a man
that powerful?
Bells, Nikki, and her friends are on the run to find a safe haven. They are all a bit
different, and each has their own reasons for being on the run. They all want to keep
Nikki and the other women safe. When the man after Nikki uses all of his powers and
force to reach her, can they still keep their promise of keeping her safe?
This is wonderful, fast-paced, action-packed story. Mr. Barnette creates a time on earth
of deep sadness and throws in some immortals to spice it up a bit. Then he creates
characters you can relate to and who are well defined. Pull all this together, and you
have one amazing read. The sex scenes are hotter than a dragon’s fire and very erotic.
This one is going on my keeper shelf.
