There are mercenaries out to kill Felix Mitchell’s mate and her family. Her adopted daughter, Gina, is more than a teenager with a crush on Leo Mitchell. She is a cold blooded (no pun intended) killer determined to do anything to keep her adopted family safe, including her mate. She just hopes that when she finally tells him the truth he will not reject her and her less than beautiful natural state.

Isabella is a truly unique shifter. I have never read about a chameleon before; a few dragons, but she is very different. I love that she can change into just about anything and also her devotion to her adopted family. She seems to have self esteem issues about her form, but she has no limits. The plot is very suspenseful with the mercenary Mika after Tomasine, and Isabella trying to protect her family and her identity while mating with Leo. The love scenes are also pretty memorable and I am definitely going to have to read the rest of this series.
