Claire Brown is one of the triplet sisters. Each sister was born with a special talent or you could say curse depending on how one views it. Claire is an empathy and feels others emotions. But five years ago Claire lost her baby, and now she is a recluse from the world, to keep the world and it’s emotions at bay. Everything is fine until her neighbor and close friend dies and her nephew Neil Olafson takes over the home and completely destroys Claire’s safe boundaries.

Neil Olafson just lost his dear aunt, after the pain of losing his son eight years ago; Neil is trying to overcome the pain of the past. When his aunt died, Neil decides to take the home he inherited and make his business there. Neil has just met the recluse lady Claire who lives next door and although she seems slightly strange, there is something about her that pulls Neil to him.

Claire is attacked and Neil takes over Claire’s peaceful life. Neil refuses to let Claire be by herself and as they come together to find out who is behind Claire’s attack, Neil also learns a lot about himself. Now Neil has help from Claire to find his kidnapped son, but what follows is a long line of painful reality. From both Claire’s past and Neil’s a dangerous evil is evolved. Can Claire find Neil’s son after all this time? And would Claire let herself heal from the past to have a future with Neil?

Ms. London has started a phenomenal series with these three sisters. I was totally immersed into this tale, from the spine-tingling adventure to the emotional trauma; each and every page mesmerized me. Cleverly written with exceptional characters and important secondary characters, this tale takes you on a ride with a wonderful lady who cares and feels too much, and is slowly learning to live with it. I loved the hero also in this story, as he was strong but sensitive. Everything about this story is spectacular and this reader cannot wait for the second sister’s story. This one is definitely going on my keeper shelf.
