Nora Haston leaves the big city and the high pressure jobs to settle in a small town with
her twelve-year-old daughter. She wants to write, and has a chance to do an article on
one of the most reclusive and sought after men, Christopher Warren. But before the
interview with Christopher is even started, things begin to turn around. The attraction she
has for Christopher comes to a abrupt halt when he suddenly gets married. However,
things are not what they seem and Nora still cannot lose her attraction to Christopher.

Christopher Warren is part owner of one of the biggest investment groups there is. He is
a loner by choice, and never does interviews for newspapers or magazines. But when
he meets Nora he is instantly attracted to her, and feels very comfortable in her
presence. Before their relationship can begin, he marries another woman. He has to get
to the bottom of this embezzlement ring, before he can go on with his life.

Nora knows Christopher is caught up in a marriage that does not seem right from the
beginning. But as she is looking into Christopher’s past, she finds hidden relationships
and a lot of illegal undertakings. Now there is a murder, and Christopher is the suspect
in his wife’s death. Can Nora discover what is going on and help Christopher? Or will
what she finds convict him?

Backwoods Husband is a well written suspense with plenty of twists and turns that will
leave you guessing. The characters are all written with plenty of history and depth, and
you get to know each one well. The strength of this story is in the plot as you try to figure
out who is behind it all. This was an entertaining read to be sure.
