Dechrista has no idea the incredibly sexy john she chose to take to her apartment is a
vampire. When he offers to turn her into one, she is too strung out to care. When she
wakes to find herself in another room with another handsome mysterious man, her
memory is a blank. He calls himself Woodrow and claims to be her guardian. Dechrista
scoffs at the idea. When reality sets in, she wonders if perhaps this is better than the life
she was living. It beats being hungry or homeless. When she discovers she must live
with him until she is trained in the vampire technique, the only desire she has is for the
one man she cannot have.
Woodrow is an ancient vampire. When a young girl is dropped in his room, he is beside
himself. Not because he has to teach her the vampire way, but the fact that just by her
closeness his body aches for her in the worst way. He is too old, how can he ever
imagine they will have a life together? It just is not meant to be, or is it?
This was an incredible book. It was fast paced and one that could not be put down. I was
hooked. Every time Woodrow’s heart ached for Dechrista, my heart soared. Two
people who had endured much, yet had discovered each other.
My heart ached whenever Woodrow feared Dechrista would outgrow him. When she
feared for his life, my heart sank. Their passions and zest for life made this book. I truly
loved reading every page. Kate Hill once again has written a story full of fire and one so
steamy it could melt every glacier and iceberg in the cold Arctic. This book is so hot no
amount of water can put out the blaze. I can hardly wait for another Kate Hill book to be
released. Excellent beyond words.
