Libby Halstead spends most of her time hiding from the world. She is in constant fear for her life as she has been given a secret, and that secret is to protect the stone that Merlin has created. She tries to counterbalance her world by being an author. She does not trust easily and when Alex crosses her path, she finds it within herself to start to trust him.

Alex has amnesia and cannot remember who he is or where he comes from. He seems drawn to Libby by some great force, although he is not sure what the force is. As he helps Libby, he begins to find the pieces of the puzzle that once was his life.

Alex, Libby, Zorovin, the dragon who is searching for his son, and Sierra, a woman who wants to obtain magic at nearly any cost, are in a battle of good versus evil. They need to defeat Sabin, who is the evil force and is determined to have ultimate control. Can they defeat Sabin and his mother, who were both banished from the memories of mankind?

I actually was ready to enjoy this book from the blurb; I thought the concept of the story sounded very interesting, however, I was very disappointed. When I began to read I was lost almost from the beginning. The story seemed to jump quite often and I had a hard time keeping track of all the characters. I did however like the four main characters. I just felt disconnected from the story and must honestly say I did not enjoy this book. Still they do say do not judge a book by its cover, but in this case do not judge the book by one review use your own judgment as well.
