Carlotta Wren definitely could use a road trip after enduring the hard life cast in her path. When Coop invites her to Florida on a brief vacation, she had no idea her brother, Wesley, would join in to chaperone.
Cooper Craft operates a body moving business for the local morgue. As a doctor, he has not been able to practice due to a matter for which he was prosecuted. Wesley has been a great help to him in some of his work. His heart lies with Carlotta.
Carlotta has not had a happy life, especially with her father being charged with embezzling then her parents leaving her to raise her brother, Wesley. Now years later, she still watches over Wesley. After an injury leaves her with a broken arm, and Neiman Marcus suspending her temporarily, she has some free time on her hands. Coop has been a special friend, and she loves how he is gentle and protective. When Coop accepts a special project for the morgue, involving a road trip, he asks Carlotta to tag along with him. He hopes to perhaps to take their relationship a step further. Neither expected chaos to arise when Coop arrives to pick up the dead body.
Body Movers: 3 Men and a Body is a unique mystery. The connection between Carlotta and Coop is there. I like the way their friendship proves to be much more, even though they have yet to become serious. I love how her heart does a triple take when Coop rings her doorbell. The refreshing characters dive into some suspenseful twists and turns not expected, and keep the reader alert to any new developments. Coop sounds dreamy and of anyone that Carlotta might make a connection, I would choose him for sure. Stephanie Bond fashions a well-crafted plot with secondary characters that keep the tone of the story moving at a great pace while leaving the reader begging for the next installment.
