Kristen is a journalist. She has buried herself in work and meaningless relationships since her fiancé left her at the altar and took up with another man. She is intrigued by the activities of the single man who moved in next door.

Ayden is a construction worker. He has a sexual relationship with a beautiful woman but wants more than that. The former owner of his house has told him all about the beautiful and lost woman who owns the house next door.

Kristen and Ayden are looking for more than just meaningless sexual encounters. Kristen has been hurt before and is afraid to try again, and Ayden is determined to change her mind.

This is a well-written story with appealing characters and steamy love scenes. I liked both Kristen and Ayden and sympathized with their search for a meaningful relationship. Ayden is almost too sensitive at times, and Kristen has been hurt so badly that she has insulated her feelings. There is some mention of an F/F relationship in Kristen's past; this incident has little to do with the story and almost seems like an afterthought. This is a quick reading tale that I enjoyed very much.
