Wedding planner Carnegie Kincaid has the wedding to beat all weddings, the nuptials of a baseball player and a Goth singer. To make things even worse, a murder happens during the reception and her friend is arrested. Carnegie begins to play super sleuth in an effort to uncover the murderer. Is she putting herself in harms way? Will she be the next victim?
Aaron Gold is a reporter for the Sentinel newspaper and Carnegie’s fiancé. He is a sports nut and stays in the background most of the time. But when Carnegie starts snooping around to uncover the killer, can he keep her safe?
Carnegie and a cast of strange bedfellows, including Boris the mad Russian florist, all in their own way move the investigation along. They try to uncover the killer before someone else becomes another victim. The clues left behind point to many suspects, but will the real killer be found or have they gotten away with murder?
This is a strange mystery that I found hard to follow at times. However, I loved the characters, some simple, some quirky like Boris. Ms. Donnelly does a wonderful job of keeping the reader guessing the identity of the killer right until the very end. Overall, this book was a pleasure to read.
