Verity is the ever practical woman with a thirst for complete submission, while Nick cannot seem to forget the gorgeous woman who gave him a reason to live again. As a team they face obstacles that would try mere mortals, but as immortal beings they find their way to a life and the possibility of a cure. Their sexual encounters were both brutal and tender, making the depth of feeling realistic. Love is not always kind, but out of need, sometimes raw. I love this book.
