Debra is a librarian in a small South Carolina town. She is also the last in a long line of witches though her powers are very small. She is the guardian of her family’s book for the next generation.
Maddox is the ranger at a local park. He is also a werewolf. He immediately knows that Debra is his mate and senses that she feels something too.
Debra is a small town librarian determined to bring her library up to date. The stumbling block is the mayor. Although he is very good looking Debra has no wish to encourage his advances. The new park ranger is another story however. Maddox is handsome and something about him is irresistible to her, her magic seems to respond to him also. All she has to do is avoid the rogue werewolf who is also after her.
This story has everything I like in a werewolf romance. The heroine is smart but has not had a good romantic history. She is more attractive than she thinks. Maddox is handsome and sexy, and the colorblindness makes him a little less perfect. The rogue werewolf is not a total surprise, but the author’s description of him before and after his defeat is wonderful. The author does a great job of telling the entire story with background and history that makes everything clear to the reader.
