Miranda is a mystic therapist who has been exiled from her home planet. She uses her gift of sensing emotions to help her patients.

Drake is a cop and a confirmed skeptic, that is until he sees Miranda in action. He is attracted to Miranda in a way he has never been attracted to a woman before.

When Miranda is given a ring that has some disturbing imprinted emotions on it, she becomes suspicious. When the ring forcibly compels her to view the images trapped inside, she contacts a cop who believes in her abilities. Said cop brings his overly suspicious and unbelieving partner with him little knowing the reaction he and Miranda will have when combined. While their attraction is strong, Drake at first refuses to act on it. However, when faced with the reality of Miranda's weakening abilities in the face of overextending her gift even he cannot resist. Will these two be able to uncover the mystery of the ring, or will those who seek to control Miranda and her unique abilities win?

Comet Coalition 4: Mystic is non-stop action and sizzling romance! Ms. Ross creates a well-crafted universe where psychic gifts are more prevalent and man has achieved the stars. While the story is set in the future, it is plausible and focuses on drugs, addiction, and corruption, things we even see in present day. Also plausible is the idea that while having psychic abilities can be a wonderful way to help people, there is also the potential for abuse, and the author does a wonderful job of illustrating this point. This is a wonderful sexy erotic suspense set in the future. Ms. Ross's books are now on my to be read list for life!
