Dolan Gains is a serial killer who has nothing to lose. He has killed and will kill again with no remorse. Believing there is a curse on the men in his family by the Boothe women, he will make them talk and break the curse even if it kills them. He has already taken care of Quint, and is now after Sandra and Daniel.

Picture a haunted home, a family curse and witches thrown in. Daniel has to face his fears of the supernatural to help and protect Sandra. A bit of mystical whimsy made this delightful and fun. This is not your normal witch-hunt but it has a few surprises and an exciting conclusion. You know that if Daniel and Sandra can face a spirited house, ravens flying everywhere, a talking skull and a killer, they can make it as long as they are together. This was a great read and I liked the magical mischief in the house to balance it.
