J.T. “The Lady” Blake is one of the toughest athlete representatives out there, but loved by her clients and respected by team management. She does have those who do not like her and is rescued by one of them. He is Reese Anthony a very sexy trucker.
Reese Anthony is a former cop, now he runs his father’s multi-national shipping business. He also, does investigations for a new football league. A divorce shortly after college has soured him on permanent relationships. Then while testing a prototype truck he meets J. T. Blake, a gorgeous woman stranded on the side of the road.
When an elderly man is murdered in the corporate offices of the Grizzlies football franchise, Reese is called in to help investigate. On the way he meets J.T. Blake. She has someone who wants her at the very least out of the business and possibly dead.
This is a very exciting suspense novel that has a very hot romance. J.T. and Reese are full of charisma. I loved how Reese took the time to court J.T. His family was a big plus in the novel. Pinky and the Brain made me laugh. I also loved J.T.’s clientele; they were so protective of her. One of the parties sabotaging J.T. totally surprised me. Garrett is very easy to hate and deserves everything he gets. The subplot involving the Grizzlies’ owner is also pretty involving. The story has some pretty hair raising twists and turns leading to a very satisfying ending.
