Tannar is a Protector of the Morjan, a race lead and protected by the females. Strong and tough, the female Morjan have only one weakness, a weakness that causes them to be hunted by off-worlders. They go into heat, allowing both them and their partner to have sex for hours without stopping.

Nickolas (Nick) Rentard is one of those off-worlders. He has a weakness of his own, a phenomenal tracking ability that he owes to his hidden heritage.

Nick is forced by his Prince to hunt Tannar just as she is going into heat. Tannar is desperate to return to her home village. Not only must she mate with a male of her own race for her to come out of heat, she also carries medicine urgently needed by her village. When Nick catches Tanner at the height of her heat, Tanner is forced by need and necessity to mate with him. Neither of them anticipates what happens next.

The author does an impressive job of developing both the characters and the Sci-Fi background, leaving the reader eager to know more about the characters and their world. Although the attraction between Nick and Tanner is obvious from the start, the author spends the time to ensure that it is properly developed and hence it becomes more real, more believable. The sex scenes are extremely well done, erotic and tender at the same time. This is a very enjoyable story, delicious read that satisfies the reader on many levels.
