Aidan Maymon is an 18th century pirate with a ruthless reputation. As he is half Arawak Indian and half Spanish, many of his ways are not understood by his men. When they mutiny and throw him overboard, he is amazed to be rescued by a being that resembles the Gods in tales told to him by his Arawak mother.

Oracan warrior, Talos, spends his time as a bounty hunter, retrieving items or individuals desired by others. His latest quest is only another bounty to gather, or is it? He finds his prey to be intriguing and strangely desirable. He is not at all sure that he wants to give Aidan up to the odious man who contracted him for the job.

When Talos travels back in time to retrieve a bounty, he is expecting to give his prey over to the buyer quickly and go on about his business. His plans are altered when his ship is damaged and must be repaired. As the two men get to know each other, a bond begins to develop between them. Can Talos use the details of the hunt to keep Aidan without bringing dishonor upon himself and his family?

I love a good male/male love story. Details of the Hunt is much better than merely good. Ms. Baumbach penned a fabulous futuristic tale that really knocked my socks off. With a deft turn of phrase, she creates a whole new world that I would dearly love to read more about. I sincerely hope she revisits the world of the Oracan hunters in the future. If you enjoy tales of alien races that include intriguing characters and hot sex scenes, then run out and get this book as soon as humanly possible. You will be very glad you did.
