Eric Dogori was the accidental mate and sworn enemy of Maya. He should resent her, hate her, and kill her to get revenge. But when he found her, he did not want revenge, just her.
Maya Aida is in her breeding time, and that is a dangerous time for a female especially since she is one of the few female leaders of the Dragon Kin Clan.
The Dragon Kin look human but have dragon roots. Her kind only seek out females during this time with one of two purposes in mind, to procreate or kill. So when Eric finds her in hiding, she does not know how to react, to fight or to give in to her natural instincts. She was very nearly killed the last time she faced off with Eric.
Whether it is about cowboys or dragons, Mrs. Petersen has a way with words. This was an imaginative romantic tale about dragons. I found her story intriguing from the start, but I have always had a soft spot in my heart for a good fairy tale. She brings her characters to life with vivid emotions and internal conflict. You will enjoy reading this story. I know I did.
