Tia Jamison’s life has been filled with lies. She learns that the woman who claimed to be her mother, who was never pleased with her, was not really her mother. She feels betrayed.
Lord Connor knows that Tia is his destiny if he wishes to regain the throne. But he wants her for much more.
Damon, Connor’s Uncle, is hungry for power. Connor is a thorn in his side.
The new discovery that Tia learns about her mother angers her deeply. As a storm brews inside her, her temper rises and she finds herself transported to an island near the Bermuda Triangle where a different race of people exist. Tia is caught in the middle of a political dispute and a man who has long haunted her dreams. Lord Connor is smitten with Tia, but his uncle begins to interfere. Damon is a man who causes much destruction. Connor has nothing to base his accusations, but he is certain the man is responsible for killing his father. He realizes that Damon knows nothing about the prophecy with Tia, and he intends to keep it that way. He has to find a way to correct the wrong so the people no longer have to be enslaved. With Tia part of the prophecy, time is running out for them to allow the Oracle to bring two races together to become one.
I found Emerald Ice to be a captivating read. Both Tia and Connor’s emotions can be felt in the pages. They seem to get their strength through the energy they feel toward each other. There are many secondary characters that are a great addition to make the story fabulous. Ms. Fleming weaves creativity into her characters and transports the reader into an intriguing world.
