Princess Keely is a young faery and the daughter of Yana, Queen of the Faeries. She is a precocious little minx when we meet her and we follow her life as she grows into adult Fae womanhood. She is the quintessential matchmaker of humans and Fae alike from her world.
Queen Yana, is precisely that, Queen of the Faeries and it is her duty to make sure that all things Fae are kept not only in order but all right in their world, and at times in the human one was well. She also seems to have given her charges missions to do in the human world to help someone find love.
This is the tale of two worlds, the Fae and the Human Realms since faeries must reside in the human world for a time to do good works for them. Queen Yana and Princess Keely figure predominantly in all the stories as we follow Keely thru the ages. She starts off as a child tagging along with Shaylah who must help Sir Darian find his true love and all that comes after for her. We also have an ensemble type cast of other faeries on assignments, all based on helping someone, usually human and love always seems to be involved. Keely is in each era helping or hindering as the case sometimes seems to be but always with a good heart until we finally get to her own story. Now it is her turn to take her turn in the human world.
I adored following Keely from the young childlike girl to blushing teenager then the aspiring young woman through the centuries. It is a modern take on finding love between humans and faeries alike, we see them intermingle and at times intermarry and laugh and cry and root for them all. It is a fun and light-hearted tale that will keep you going, and with a bit of faery dust, you are transported to many different eras and locales. Ms. Rogers brings you full circle from Keely and Shaylah to Keely and her own adventure, you do not want to miss finding out who she meets, and that is all you get, no spoiling the fun now.
