Auburn haired beauty Becca Harm should have been on the way to her wedding.
Instead, she is adrift on the ocean in her parents’ powerless sailboat, alone. When she
sees a man descending from a helicopter by a rope ladder, Becca is not sure if he is
there to save her or steal her parents’ boat.

Seasoned sailboat captain Mark “Lucky” Lucken is doing a favor for a friend in need
when he attempts to rescue Becca. Their first meeting gets off to a rocky start when she
puts him in the Pacific and deep sixes the duffel bag housing all he holds dear.

Having totally different goals in life does not keep these two from being strongly
attracted to one another, but it does keep life interesting as they sail toward Tahiti.
Battling deadly sharks, sudden storms, and the idle waters of the doldrums causes
Becca and Lucky to grow closer and begin to re-examine their dreams.

Ms. Hunter does an excellent job painting a portrait of two people thrown together and
forced to depend on one another. The exotic setting lends itself to romance and
characters stay true to form throughout. Having lived in Hawaii, I enjoyed the authenticity
of the tropical setting. I also enjoyed the honesty of the characters. Footloose is a fun
tale of love on the high seas.
