Thomi is about promises and success, whether it is about family or a stranger in need.
When an abusive relationship ends and she is coerced into another gentler one, Thomi
struggles with her fears and her desires to remain true to her causes.
Stephan needs to marry and stay that way to gain his and his cousin's inheritance. With
Thomi’s history, he feels some level of assurance that his plan would work.
Determined not to enter another relationship, Thomi is pulled kicking and nearly
screaming into one with Stephan. Headstrong and stubborn, she has made some
choices, mistakes, and comments that she is never allowed to live down. Stephan has
his own plans and is determined to make the unwilling Thomi fall into them, even when
one of her triplet sisters would rather be in his arms. The sister’s plot is against Stephan
until Thomi is forced to choose. Will she make the right choice? Only time will tell.
Ms. Davis-Wilson has created an in-depth story of family, the promises, betrayal, and
forgiveness woven within detailed plots and subplots. Set among horse farms and the
glamour of success and failure of believable situations and characters. A truly enjoyable
read for anyone who loves long, sweeping family sagas. I found it be an engaging and
heartfelt drama, although a little repetitious in some areas.
