Rosalie Winters has been hurt in the past, so she focuses on her daughter, Amy, as she tries to figure out how to support them. Her love of art is gone and she is unsure of what else she can do. Her hurt by one man has kept her from pursuing any new relationships. She wonders if she will ever find that one true love or if she is holding out for a dream?

Arik Kareem Ben Hassan plays around with life. He has no plan to settle down, so takes unnecessary risks with his gorgeous body. However, when he is injured and incapacitated in a cast, he begins to look at things differently. It is a whole new experience when he begins to consider what he truly wants from life.

Vacation in Q’aroum is a relaxing time for Rosalie as she keeps a watchful eye on Amy. But when her mom takes Amy to spend time with her sister Belle, Rosalie is left wondering what to do to occupy her time. She decides to paint and while she is doing so a man on a horse approaches her. Rosalie finds herself attracted to him but is not sure how to handle the attraction. Arik is instantly besotted with Rosalie, but senses he must be careful and take things slow. Will they both get what they want or will they be disappointed?

Ms. West really knows how to write! I was engrossed in this book from beginning to end. Rosalie is so sweet that I really enjoyed reading about her. Arik is steaming hot and I could not get enough of him and his eyes. The enveloping passion these two share brings them to heights they have never known and took my breath away. They had to figure out how to get along outside of the bedroom, too.
