Faith Castle is an heiress but feels out of place in the country club scene. She works as a kindergarten teacher for one thing and is not model-thin for another. Her lack of confidence spills over into her dating life.
Connor Kingston is determined to marry up and leave a legacy in the world. He does not believe in love and is screening his candidates carefully. Faith is the ideal candidate; she is full of passion and wants children and fidelity, but does not expect love.
Faith and Connor have struck what they think is the perfect deal. They both want marriage and a family, but distrust the idea of love. They are both willing to settle for passion and fidelity, but love has a way of sneaking into the best of agreements.
I really enjoyed this scorcher of a romance. The plot is a classic. A woman unaware of how sexy she is, is willing to settle for a marriage of convenience in exchange for a family. Ms. Haynes breathes new life into this concept with Connor and Faith. The love scenes are positively incendiary. Faith’s family’s attempts to get between the couple are very devious and the cattiness of the women in her set are vicious. And through all this the two fall in love anyway. Faith’s father is an over the top dictator and bombshell Cousin Nina is equally flamboyant. I was a little confused about Trinity’s love life, but this is the only loose end I found. I loved the characters and the way the author wove the love scenes into a very interesting plot.
