One night, as Patricia McKinnon walks home from a late night of work, she runs into
trouble with three intoxicated men. Fortunately for her, a handsome stranger comes to
her rescue. When they meet again, she welcomes the chance to get to know him and
soon finds that he knows just what to say to bring a little spark back into her life.
For the two weeks on either side of Winter Solstice, a gargoyle can walk the Earth as a
man. Eric Stone decides to take advantage of this time and captures the attention of a
woman he has watched for many months from atop the cathedral. By observing her
dreams at night, he learns just what pleasures she has kept secret for years.
Day in and day out, Eric makes all of Patricia’s fantasies come to life through role-play
as master and submissive. He is careful not to ask her to do anything that would scare
her off, which quickly earns her his trust. As their mutual love grows stronger, their time
together diminishes. Eric worries how Patricia will react to the truth of his existence and
if he will lose her forever.
The heated scenes of master and submissive are extremely well written and they
capture both the sensual play and the sincere bond of trust. I loved the characters of Eric
and Patricia and the way they interacted with one another. I had my fingers crossed for a
happy ending. Ms. Kingston has written a unique paranormal story that ties in nicely with
the holidays, while giving it some enchanting magic. I will be reading more books from
this fine author in the future.
