Cory, a female psychic, hears a ghost in the beautiful, but run-down mansion, Love
Alley. In the 1800's, Love Alley was used as a brothel. It belonged to an ancestor of
Cory's, a madam, who mysteriously disappeared. Cory is fascinated, not only by the
house, but also by its new owner, Louis.
Louis loves the house and plans to restore it. When he realizes it is haunted, he
contacts Cory for help. Upon meeting her, Louis wants her so desperately, he even gets
a little romantic help from the house ghost.
Soon Cory and Louis are discovering the house's secrets, and their own connection to
the past. They might not understand what the ghosts want, but know they need each
other. They decide to investigate together.
Haunting Love Alley is a hot, sexy read entwined in a wonderfully romantic mystery.
Watching the suspense develop proved almost as great as the love story unfolding. In
addition, the sex is smoking. Parts of the book generated a wow response as I turned
pages back to read them again. I love how the authors do not use exaggerated and
stereotypical accents and characters. While the plot is outstanding, it is the characters
who make this book perfect. Open and funny, they are not only entertaining, but very
likeable. I enjoy Louisiana stories and the descriptions here, especially of the house,
are lovely. This writing team is one I look forward to reading again because Haunting
Love Alley is an extraordinary book and has a well deserved place in my keeper file.
