Morena Camden is a single mother as well as a doctor who runs her own clinic. When her father retires she knows she needs someone to come in and help her with the patients. She was not expecting the new doctor to have such an adverse reaction to her son. Will she be able to help him come to terms with his past.

Nathan Young lost his wife and unborn son ten years earlier. He has a hard time dealing with pregnant women and small children. When Morena suggests that she handle the expectant mothers and small children and he handle everyone else, he cannot believe his luck. He also cannot believe that after ten years he is attracted to another woman.

Nathan has a lot to overcome in order for him to be able to love again. But agreeing to a six month stay at the clinic leaves him very little opportunity to get close to anyone. Morena is determined that they will be friends only and she will help him heal from his painful past. In helping him will she end up with another broken heart or could this be the love they have both been needing?

What a truly wonderful, sweet story. The storyline is very well thought out and rounded. Lucy Clark knows how to create characters who will grab your heart. Nathan and Morena are wonderful together and the characters that surround them bring as much life to the story as they do. The emotional factor is on the high end of the scale in this book.
