Micki Jordan is the youngest of three sisters and the co-owner of The Hot Zone Sports
Agency. She grew up idealizing her Uncle Yank and has always been one of the guys;

Damian Fuller is team captain for the New York Renegades. He does not do
relationships since the potential distraction could divert him from his game. He knows
perception is the name of the game. Lately, keeping up his image of a ladies’ man is
turning into more of a job. The one thing that he refuses to think about is looming ahead.
Retirement.
While on a PR blitz with the Renegades, Micki is slipped some alcohol unknowingly
before Damian arrives with a woman on his arm that makes Micki feel very inadequate.
When the press catches Micki without her inhibitions, Damian kidnaps Micki. She is not
happy but decides that she might as well take this opportunity to enjoy her time with
Damian. Micki knows that when the weekend is over, so are they. When they return to
the real world, Damian finds things have become very difficult for him and goes to Micki
for help. She is the only one he can trust with his problem; but in doing so, he realizes
this could destroy any chance of happiness for them.
It is a Grand Slam. Micki steps up to the plate as a woman determined to change her
perception to the world and overcome the insecurities that rule her life. Damian is the
perfect catch with his down to earth attitude along with his Major League sex appeal.
Both characters create a fantastic tension while the supporting characters help round
out this uniquely wonderful story. I have not read the first installment of the Hot Zone
trilogy but that does not detract from Micki’s story. Ms. Phillips has created a family that
everyone would love to meet.
