Hester is tired of living in squalor, working lots of hours while her husband sits on his butt drinking her savings away.
Vidor, a wealthy customer can make it where she will never have to worry for anything. All she has to do is teach his niece to sing, right?
Hester goes to live with Vidor and she hears strange music in the woods. However, there are places in the house she is not allowed to go to. Will she learn the source of the music and secrets before it’s too late, or will she fall into the clutches of someone worse than her husband?
Hungarian Rhapsody is filled with mind-blowing, twists that leave the reader at a loss for what happens next. There are so many undercurrents to make the reader second guess themselves on who the bad guy is. The scenery although beautiful is also dark, helping with the suspense. The seduction Vidor has over Hester without ever touching her gives it a life of its own. This book is an exciting way to spend your evening. I look forward to more from this author. If you are looking for a good horror story, look no further.
