Upon inheriting a bookstore, she moves back to her hometown in the hope of finding the truth about what happened that fateful night. The sexy-as-sin sheriff who really turns her on makes her investigation much more difficult.

Duncan Pride does not regret saving Kennedy from her stepfather's depravity but is wary of her reasons for returning to Pride, Michigan. It is his job to protect his people from any threat, but the more he gets to know the grown up Kennedy, the more he does not want to believe that she may be a threat. His desire for her knows no bounds, which makes keeping her away from them that much harder.

Things are often much more than they seem and this is definitely true of this terrific book. It gives us insight into the fabulous world of Shiloh Walker's Hunters. Although related to the Hunter series, it is very much a stand-alone novel that does not have to be read with the other Hunter books. The setting of Pride Mountain is very picturesque and in keeping with what I know personally of the state of Michigan, as it is where I live.

The characterizations are superb. Duncan and the other male shifters of his clan are fabulously sexy men who really made me drool. The sex scenes are hot and steamy with just the right amount of intimate detail. Ms. Walker is a terrific author who gives us yet another fabulous book sure to make its way to the keeper shelves of many readers. I recommend Hunter's Pride to anyone looking for a sensational story about shapeshifters and the women who love them. More Hunters please!
