Hunters Revenge opens with a very dark topic. The author is aware of this and handles it well, allowing Amy and the reader time to move past it. The concepts explored in the book are interesting but could be handled better. Billed as Science Fiction, the novel is more Science Fantasy, emphasis on the Fantasy, and it is clearly secondary to the story. The relationship between Hunter and Amy is the primary story line and for the most part, it works. The sex scenes are generally well written and fit within the story. Although the story never quite comes together, it is still a good read.
