Hank Renard will help his family out of debt, even if that means agreeing to marry a woman he does not love. He is full of doubts about the whole thing and it makes it more difficult when he meets a woman who grabs at his heart. Hank wants more out of life and must figure out what that entails.

Getting out from under her protective family is something Angela has always wanted to do. Yes, she loves them, but ever since her heart transplant, they baby her. Then a job comes her way that will help her get the promotion she wants, but something odd is going on at Hadyn Industries. As she tries to figure it out, she discovers Hank is willing to listen to her. Even worse, someone is coming after her and she has to put the pieces together before something bad happens.

In A Heartbeat will leave you breathless. Ms. Richards tells the story so well that I keep going back and reading parts over again. Angela and Hank have such deep feelings for each other they just melt together. I had to find out what was going to happen next and put all the pieces together. I was pleased with the ending most of all.
