The mothers' plottings are blown out of the water at a dinner party gone bad and it leaves Marianne and Nick to commiserate together. Understanding draws them closer together and soon they hatch their own plan as attractions grow between them. They steal away for dates, building their affections slowly for Marianne’s sake. The most important part of the entire situation is to keep the dating a secret from the mothers.

The book is laden with absolutely hilarious moments, leaving me laughing to the point of tears. The author captures the busy body mothers to the point where you swear they are people you know in your own life. The wariness of Marianne is understandable. Nick’s jaded nature makes perfect sense. How she entwines those complications and brings them together is sweet and sexy. Get this book. You will laugh, you will sigh. It is laden with humor and realities readers can relate to. Add this one to your must read collection.
