William and Allen have danced around their attraction to each other for many years. William is certain he should not have a relationship with another man but that certainty does not mitigate his desire or the fact that he has a wife sent to him by the king himself. What to do about both Allen and Margaret is definitely a puzzle.
Margaret is a no-nonsense kind of woman, aware that she is not perfect. She would like to know her husband better, but he has not given her the chance. She would not blame him if he condemned her for some of the choices she has made. When William is missing after a battle, she travels to the battlefield to try to find him and meets Allen. Together they search for and rescue William.
William, wounded after a battle, must recover in the keep of the Earl of Serle who has brought him there in an attempt learn William's motivations. Allen and Margaret find William a little worse for wear. The secrets that neither William nor Margaret have shared could endanger all three of them. What is the small dragon statue that Margaret found? Who is the mysterious being that plagues William's life? Can William accept Allen's love?
I expected this book to be a tale of hot sex that would keep me warm all night. Instead, I found an enchanting medieval story that will forever have a special place in my heart. Ms. Veinglory proved she could tell a story that captures more than a reader's libido. I hope she makes her wonderful book into a series. Anyone looking for an awesome book full of intrigue will want to grab King of Dragons, King of Men.
