Sidony McLeod is the youngest of the McLeod sisters and the last to marry. She is a perfect young lady, but always in the background to her older sisters.

Giffard Maclennan, handsome Templar Knight, is rash and impetuous. Nonetheless, it cannot be denied that he gets the job done. Rugged and independent, he has decided that it is not time for him to settle down yet.

As Knights Templar, Giff and Sidony’s brothers-in-law have been ordered to move Scotland’s national treasure and to keep it safe. When Sidony overhears their plans, she is caught up in the adventure. From escaping assassins to spending long days on rough seas, Sidony and Giff are thrown together and the fireworks begin.

King of Storms is a great classic Scottish romance. It is adventurous and the characters are great. The addition of the little boy, Jake Maxwell, and his interactions with Giff and Sidony is fantastic. Amanda Scott’s writing is intelligent, witty and very well researched. In reading this book it was so easy to imagine 14th century Scotland in dress, food, family, land and sea. It is a wonderful trip back in time.
