Janie Parker will do anything to locate her missing sister, even if it means turning into an assassin. She learns that it just may be necessary to go after a vampire and kill to get the artifact her boss needs, to find her loved one.

Michael Quinn wishes to be human. The Eye holds the power to grant his wish but he is not the only one after it when he has an unexpected guest tagging along after him. Janie just might be the one person to make him rethink staying a vampire.

Janie is sent to find The Eye, an artifact her boss desperately desires. Her boyfriend really fixed her good when he left his job, incorporating Janie to take his place. Her boss tells her if she wishes to get out of her contract and see her sister, Angela, again, she will find The Eye and bring it to him. She had no idea the person she would have to take The Eye from was none other than a vampire. Quinn cannot believe the sassy gal has to follow him for his quest for the artifact. She becomes a constant reflection in his life. While Janie finds him tempting, Quinn believes she is stunning, and tries to fight off the temptation of plunging his teeth into her lovely neck. Janie must place her trust in Quinn to find her sister, which is kind of hard when he is becoming quite enticing.

Michelle Rowan crafts a stupendous read with just the right blend of elements of love, passion, wit and mystery. She develops characters that jump out and make a statement. Janie and Quinn are great together. I love the way they both fight for The Eye, each having their own reason for it in their possession. Lady and The Vamp has a nice plot with two driven rivalries that this reader loved. Action-packed and fast-moving, this story takes off as the former vampire and upcoming assassin spin great conversation and engage in sporadic fire making this read sizzle.
