This story starts with a small boy who has had a difficult and somewhat abusive childhood. As a result, he represses his emotions and associates the words ‘I love you’ with pain. He grows into a very successful young man with his own business. He learns about the emotions he has suppressed when he meets a student named Holly. She soon teaches him about the love he has never known.

Holly has always been quiet and her friends think she needs to add some excitement to her life and her personality. She meets the young man of our story, and her life changes greatly. Falling in love quickly, she has a lot to risk if she is to stay in this relationship and not look at the work opportunities that await her.

These two travel a long and not always easy journey together. The first thing they must do is master the lessons of love and trust. Can they stay together through everything they must face? Betrayal and danger with medical emergencies they manage to face together, but how do they deal with the ultimate loss?

This is a difficult book to read with an almost childlike writing style. The story is told completely from the point of view of the young man. It is interesting and even exciting in places, even though the manner in which he describes what is happening around him and what he feels is often difficult to follow. If you want a challenging read, then I would recommend this book.
