Rating:

Gianelle has been a possession all her life. She yearns for her freedom, wishing to
belong to no man. However, when she is suspected of murder, she finds that perhaps
freedom carries too high a price, especially if it means losing your heart to the most
desirable man she has ever met.

Lord Dante Risande is aware of his potent charm with the opposite sex and takes great
pride in honing it at every opportunity. But when he gets tangled up with an enemy’s
slave, he finds that perhaps he has just been practicing for the real thing all along.

Dante Risande is a rogue that has left many a broken heart behind, but he prides
himself on leaving them with a satisfied smile to go along with it.  When he meets the
tiny, vengeful slave in his enemy’s home, he finds himself intrigued by her apparent
immunity to him. Once she becomes a murder suspect, he is compelled to save her and
her friend from injustice, and worse, at the hands of a man who will go to any lengths to
see that Gianelle gets what she deserves. He must investigate the murder and the lovely
slave further. What he finds is something neither of them ever dreamed possible.

I found this, the second book in the series, to be as heartwarming, engrossing and as
hot as the first. Lord of Temptation is packed with humor, intrigue, suspense and, of
course, love. Gianelle was a slave, but I loved that she refused to bow down to anyone
totally. You have to love a woman who knows how to use subterfuge, strategy, and plain
old fashioned meanness. As for Dante, he is an inferno of sexual heat all by himself.
