Shannon Miller is a temp agency owner who enjoys playing video games. She meets Damien Richards when he hires her company. From the moment she meets him, Shannon finds the doctor extremely attractive. Unfortunately, she has trust issues that hinder her relationships, finding she can only depend upon herself.

Dr. Damien Richards is a blind physicist. Due to his physical impairment, he feels he is not whole, even though he has created an actual alternate dimension that is going to be made into a game. His strong desire to see has helped him in accomplishing this feat, hoping he can use it for medical purposes eventually. Though he is unable to see Shannon, he has always desired her.

A lab accident hurls Shannon and Damien into an experimental, alternate dimension vortex which Damien has created. Now they must fight demons to stay alive as they search for their way home. Damien becomes the character Lord Night, with Shannon as his sex slave. This is so they can play the game and find their way home. Of course, being his sex slave is not really a hardship for Shannon, considering Damien has always caused her to be sexually aroused. When Damien falls for Shannon, he vows not to tell her, due to his blindness. Then he makes a devastating announcement and Shannon is emotionally hurt.

I had to fan myself rapidly from all the sexual play Shannon and Damien arouse in each other and their readers. What an erotically inflaming story this is. Ms. Verino has quite an imagination. Sex helps to alleviate the pain when Lord Night is experiencing it; a dream of every man. It is guaranteed to raise your blood pressure tremendously. If I only had my own Lord Night, I would be a very happy camper.
