Cecilia is a gypsy who severed her roots long ago; however, they seem to be growing back. When her sister Amy turns up at her engagement party and tells her she is marrying the wrong man, she feels it all beginning again. She never bargained on Finn, who seems to have been born to tempt her away from everything she fought so hard to achieve. Between her sister, Finn’s daughter, the rent-a-granny and, of course, destiny, can these two hope to fight fate? Is Cecilia’s sister right about her prophecy? Will Finn die, or does true love truly conquer all?

This was the most heart-warming story I have read in a long time. Cecelia starts out so uptight and afraid, but Amy’s reappearance brings so much of her heritage back to her that she realizes how much of herself she has given up. Finn was delicious, broody, and so sweet that you wanted to keep him for yourself. I loved Maya, who was one wickedly funny kid and so real, without being too cute. The rest of the cast of quirky characters was so much fun that I hope the author is not finished just yet. I devoured this book and wanted to beg for more. Ms. Holquist is a gifted storyteller who makes you laugh, cry, and cheer. Do not miss this book!
