Katherine is a career woman working as a psychologist in the field of marriage and
family. When she is asked to attend a seminar, the Professor believes she is married
but she has no husband. Her good friend, Steve; he would play a role in this situation.
She never expected their friendly relationship to turn into something more. Is she willing
to have a lifetime with Steve or a career?
Steve has always carried a torch for his good friend, Katherine. He will do anything for
her. Leaving a note for his so-so girlfriend, he decides to accompany Katherine for a
month posing as her husband. This is a month that he believes he will thoroughly enjoy.
Can he make her see that they could have a life long commitment together? Or will she
only see him always as a good friend?
This was a sweet story that I could not put down. I loved the way Katherine and Steve
interacted with each other. It was a well-written story that kept me interested. The
secondary characters blended in well keeping the story active all the way to the last
page. I could almost see the reaction on Steve’s face when his girlfriend showed up
during the picnic. I enjoyed how she allowed the characters to discuss their relationship.
The book definitely gives one thought when it comes to marriage.
Ms. Gearner has a way with words pulling you into the story. She keeps everything at a
flowing pace throughout the book. She writes with true feelings as if she is inside the
characters' head and heart. She has a certain flare with her words. I look forward to
reading more of her books. The ending brought a lump to my throat. A great story.
