CRYMSYN R. HART
Rating: 4 cups
Veronica is stuck with a beast inside of her just waiting to get out. Her Master beat her so she flees. She meets Brenna who senses the pain in Veronica and wants to save her.
Brenna pretends to be something she is not in order to be left alone, although that is the last thing she needs.
Veronica and Brenna have to run from Devin, Veronica’s Master, he wants to have them both under his evil clutches. Will he succeed, or will Brenna be Veronica’s savior?
Ms. Hart’s way of writing Masqurade is very different than any book I have read. I never know what will happen next. Her twist to the vampire theme is a pleasant change. The plot seems to be ever changing making me hooked to see what the end will bring. The scenery is dark and edgy, adding suspense and intrigue. I would love to read more of Veronica and Brenna’s story. Readers of the vampire genre will not be able to walk away from this book!
