Struggling with the knowledge that she doesn't fit in, Evelyn Morgan Reed-Sinclair grew up with the proverbial silver spoon. All those around her dictate her life, however, as her character grows throughout the story, Evelyn starts revolting against the dominating forces. Using a different name, she gets a job working for a dot com business and attempts to be accepted for herself and not her money. On her way to work one morning, she sees a handsome face in a passing train and cannot get him from her mind.

Alexander Velazquez is a lawyer who comes from a family that believes in justice. When he is fired from his job for defending minorities pro bono, he leaves his fancy job, fancy apartment, and fancy girlfriend and heads home. Coming upon a lucrative but shady job offer, Alexander needs to make the ultimate decision. Should he stand by his convictions, or hand over all his moral beliefs?

A simple glance between strangers grows into something more as Evelyn and Alexander see each other in multiple settings, including where they work. Their addiction for glimpses into each others lives contends with their own battles on the home front. Coming from different backgrounds, these two will have to overcome major odds in order for their love to bloom.

Ms. Candela's novel was well written, gripping me in the beginning. However, as the story progressed, I began to lose interest. Without the characters meeting, the plot seemed to drag on as the story unfolded. If you like slow and easy romance reads without any passion, this is perfect. However, if you like a spicier read, this is not the book.
