MURDERING IN NUMBERS: THE MADNESS BEGINS
Rating: 2 Cups
Roxanne is rich, beautiful, and loves sex. Her parties, thrown with the help of her best friend Becky, are infamous.
Becky and her friend Roxanne do almost everything together. They have the same tastes in almost everything.
When three people are murdered at Roxanne’s Halloween orgy, her friendship with Becky changes.
I had a hard time with this story. There are lots of erotic scenes but the only emotions seem to be fear and anger. Becky and Roxanne are not likable at all. Roxanne is egotistical and manipulative and Becky is just scary. If the situation is as described, I think someone would have noticed the missing men before this party, making the plotline improbable at best. This story seems to be missing some element that would bring it together and make it into the suspense story it could be. As it stands, there is little suspense and no mystery as the reader knows from the beginning who the killer is and has a pretty good idea of why.
