MYSTICAL SIGNS: AQUARIUS “ OPPOSITES ATTRACT” Kelly has spent most of her life attempting to keep her alcoholic mother and flighty sister together. Now she is on her own. She has a nice apartment and a stable career as a concert cellist and as a music teacher. Her life is full, but lonely, until a new neighbor moves in across the hall. Ren is a free-spirited rock guitarist. His band has just gotten its first big break, so he has moved out of his crummy shared apartment into a place of his own. The beautiful woman living across the hall is a definite plus. An uptight classical musician and a free spirited rocker find out that they share much more than the apartment building in which they both live. Neither is perfect; Kelly is as uptight as Ren is free spirited, but together they work very well. She brings his life order and he gives her a little taste of adventure. Kelly is scared of change, but a tragedy brings them together. Opposites Attract is a very good contemporary romance. The author has packed a lot of story into this one. The characters and setting are vividly described and enhanced by the dialogue, which is perfect for the time and not laden with technical terms the reader will not understand. Both of the main characters are very attractive and likable. I loved this story of a woman who wants complete control over her life and the man who creates just enough chaos to make it worth living. This is a very enjoyable story. Maura
