As a Nogitsune, Shasta is a were-fox with an insatiable sex drive. She is attempting to obtain a much coveted ninth tail, and is determined to complete her task. Her desire to do so may be hindered by men who are hunting her. She has no problems with beguiling a handsome man into assisting her with her desires.

Del is a kind and caring individual who is happy to help the men of his village look for some missing men. When a beautiful young woman asks for his help, he is not aware of her true nature. By the time he learns the truth about Shasta, it just may be too late.

The Nogitsune are not known for their kindness or benevolence. Many prey upon humans without caring for the consequences. Because of this, the men who are hunting Shasta are not likely to have mercy on her. Del is one man who does have mercy for the young woman who just also happens to be a fox. Can they overcome the wrath of a malicious man, and the meddling of vengeful spirits, to develop a relationship?

The book was so well written that I decided it definitely deserves 4 cups. The dynamics of the relationships depicted are utterly fascinating. Ms. Cory is a talented author who has the ability to spin a tale that is sure to capture many an imagination. If you enjoy stories of unusual shape shifters, then this may be just the book for you.
