Joanne Smith also called “Joy” is a woman who wants to be able to enjoy sexual
pleasures but she is unable to do so because of a past attack so she turns to her friend
for help. Without help she feels she will spend her life alone.
Raphael D’Onofrio is an owner of a sex-club, a vampire that has no need for long-term
relationships or human attachments but when Joy, an old friend, comes to him with a
problem he cannot turn her down.
They work together to solve Joy’s “problem”. Oblivious to him but very clear to others he
falls in love with Joy. Can she feel the same and can she heal the pain from long ago?
When Raphael learns who it was that attacked Joy in the past can he control his
emotions or will this be the end of a friendship?
This is a beautiful story of love, trust and friendship. Rape is often a taboo subject, but
this was written so well. I truly could feel what Joy felt. The friendship is sweet and
charming. What women would turn down a guy like Raphael? Not I.
