Skye Ellison is convinced that she is cursed. She always falls for the wrong men. Her ex-boyfriend has absconded with her life savings and left her high and dry. When handsome, retired race car driver Nico Valetti accuses her of being involved with scamming him, she is determined to prove that she had nothing to do with it and agrees to assist him in tracking the perpetrator.

Nico Valetti has been attracted to Skye for some time but has not approached her because she was dating a supposed friend of his. When said friend runs off with $20,000 of Nico’s money, and his favorite motorcycle, he is incensed and accuses Skye of being involved in the scam. They take off together for Vegas in the hope of recovering some of the cash.

The premise of this book is interesting and one I am sure many women can relate to. It is definitely hard to trust a man again after being let down by another one, especially a handsome man that many women want. The way Sky and Nico do let go and trust each other enough to fall in love is heartwarming. Skye's ex is a sleaze ball who is fun to dislike and his having fleeced both she and Nico, is an effective plot point that makes the story very interesting.

The characters here are fairly complex and interact in ways that I think most normal people would in their situation. The sensual tension is lively and easily visible. The sex scenes are so hot and steamy they gave me hot flashes. Ms. Sobrato is one of my favorite Blaze authors and she delivers yet another sizzling book that is sure to provide many pleasant reading hours. If you like hot contemporary stories with sexy men and the women who love them then you will adore this terrific book.
